Working for the Weekend
Just like that old Loverboy song, I have been working for the weekend.
Every stressful day at work has me thinking, one more day closer to the weekend . . . hang in there! This thought process has been going on for a few weeks now.
I have been thinking this way because of the usual anxieties that are prevalent at the end of April - when we have our deadline for filing certain documents relating to our financial year end with the stock exchange and various securities commissions throughout the country. Concurrent with this, our company is working on some bigger projects, so I have been juggling a bit more than I could handle for the past few weeks.
But, *phew*, the documents have been filed and now we just have to get ready for our AGM. However, at the end of this month, I am again fighting the deadline of filing our first quarter reports with the stock exchange, securities commissions, etc.
I am aiming to get these reports filed early, since my dear aunt and uncle from the homeland are coming to Canada for a visit at the end of May.
Starting tomorrow, I am going to start riding my mountain bike to work. Sean has indicated that I should ride my road bike, but I get nervous with the gravel that is still on the bike paths. Maybe in a month or so when the paths have been cleaned up, I will hop aboard my road bike, but for now it is the mountain bike.
Well, I am going to go update our flickr website and then I am going to go work on my usual Sunday laundry chores.
