Bits & Bites
Not much is going on in our world right now.
We spent Christmas Eve day hanging out at home (doing chores of all things). From there we went to Quodlibet's house for the orphan's xmas eve party...Here are a few pics from the evening.

Xmas day was so-so. We had the usual family problems with a certain family member, that in turn creates havoc in our lives and causes a general ugly feeling all around. At work, I have this saying (that I stole off of someone else). If the person is the root of the poison, then kill the root to get rid of the poison. Unfortunately, unlike a friend or an employee, one can not "fire" a family member. We are still trying to figure out how to lessen this person's negativity in our lives.
We spent the evening with my sista T & her hubby Chreeeesssss. It was good to just hang out at their house and get teased by them. We ended up having a mixed grill of fresh seafood (yes, I know in landlocked AB, we had fresh seafood) and rice for our xmas din-din, which was a nice change of pace from all of the rich food we have been eating.
Yesterday, Sean did a flight up to Northern AB:
While Sean was out flying, I spent the time chatting on the phone to my sister Marg and reading a book I recently purchased. It was a very lazy day. Once Sean got back from his flight we did a few errands and then just sat around doing our own hobbies. I like quiet days like that. Sean & I are in our own home, doing our own hobbies, together, but still getting our quiet personal time in. A relaxing day like that makes up for the negativity of xmas day.
Today, we got up quite early and did a short snowshoe trip. We did the 4.5 km loop at Burstall Pass. We did our hike in a snowy winter wonderland. Huge chips of snow fell throughout our hike. Here are a few pics from the snowshoe trip:
As you can tell, Sean has been having fun using "my" new camera. (my xmas gift that never got wrapped, go figure!)

I of course got into the spirit of goofing around (Sean's sense of humour is quite contagious):
So, we did some of our "who am I" photos. (Enjoy Marns, and yes, it was so beautiful outside!)
Sean decided to do a change of clothes on the side of the road (good thing we were on a side road in the forest of K-Country), and I was teasing him with the possibility of my getting some x-rated shots:
Ok, it was funny to us, but I guess you had to be there.
Tonight I finally worked on my good ol' you-tube account and posted some vids. Here is one from this summer that Quodlibet shot:
I will be uploading some private vids later on. Please let me know if you want to see them and I will send you the link and etc.
Tomorrow I am going to head into work for a little while. It will be good to get into the office while no one is around. I will be able to get 8 hours worth of work done in 3 hours or so. Mena might stop by for a coffee and to show off her ring. It looks like her man is going to finally make her an honest woman. Congrats guys!
Well, that is all for now. I will most likely post after our new year's shin-dig.

From Lady M
I received this cute story and pic from "Lady M" this morning:
Loved the pictures of your "boyz" here is a picture of "My Girl".
Rachel came over to decorate my tree with my kids as she has never done it before. After stringing up the lights and throwing on a few decorations we were taking a cobbler break and Josh heard something and went in the living room and this is what he found.
The picture has not been photoshopped (except to correct the dreaded yellow eye) but Rachel did crop it and add the Christmas border to make a card for us.
Looking forward to soup tomorrow....

What a cat! That story reminds me of "Pierke", the cat I had as a teenager. Pierke one time jumped into the tree (I saw her "fly" across the room from the corner of my eye) and she took the entire tree down. Needless to say, the living room was a mess. It took me & Sean a few hours to try and "fix" the tree before my family came home. Of course, with us being the youngest in our families, we never really had to partake in helping "decorate" a tree. (which of course was fine by both of us!) As such, our "fix" of the tree was horrible. It took my eldest sister, T., the entire day to undo what the cat did and to undo what we did. A good Christmas memory!
Ok, I am going to go eat some microwave modified food!
