Whoa! What a ride I have been on!

It all started with a doctor's appt on Monday. I am still suffering from Ruby Red Rusheroos and I saw my GP in regards to this. My good ol' doc thinks that it is just my usual irritable bowel syndrome acting up, but because of the numerous attacks and etc., I was put on some medication and have been booked for a follow up visit in Feb. (Ugh, I better be back to "normal" by then, or else I get the ol' colon cam visit - which will *not* be put on youtube!)

On Tuesday I began to develop adverse side effects to one of the medications that I was prescribed. If what I went through on Tuesday/Wednesday is comparable to a heroin/crack withdrawal - I feel for the people who go through that process.

So, I left work very suddenly on Tuesday (according to one of my co-workers who just came into my office to tease me) and went for a long walk to try and clear my head. (I never did end up back at the office) I visited my doctor, who took me off of the one medication that was causing the symptons. I then spent Tuesday night having a weird glass paranoia. I slept all day Wednesday and am back to work today.

According to our VP, with whom I left a cracked up message on Wednesday, I have a new nickname: just call me Margot Kidder.

Ugh.

In other news: I hate the LRT. Maybe it is still because I am going through drug withdrawals and I am very restless, but waiting at a station for 10 minutes so that EMS can clear up the daily "emergency" at the crack LRT station almost took me over the edge. Maybe until I am completely clear of this drug, I should just hang out at that LRT station with my brothers and sisters.

Ok, I gotta get back to work - somehow...

Saturday!

Ahh, the joys of Saturday!
Sean & I are sitting only a few feet apart - he is on his computer (searching Jeep sites of all things) and I am here on my computer. We are in our almost finished basement - which Sean has promised me will be finished by the end of the month. I am drinking Sean's amazing coffee, that is better than Tim Hortons. We spent the first part of this morning snuggled in bed and listening to Josh howl for breakfast. (Gosh, it is like that cat has never been fed).
It is nice to be this lazy for awhile.
Soon, we will be getting ready to go to the home show. We are talking about getting our living room window glazed. For those of you who have been to our house, I am referring to the window that is WAAAAYYY up in our living room that shoots hot summer sun onto our paintings and antique pump organ. So, hopefully we will get some ideas for glazing that window.
Sean & I are also still trying to figure out what colour to paint the rest of our house. We have painted one wall a nice deep chocolate brown and we want to accent it with a lighter beige type of colour. As Sean is a metro sexual, I will let him do the final choice of paint colours.
Eddie has been slowly ruining the rug that runs up our stairs and into our bed rooms. I have been encouraging Eddie, as I think tht rug is HORRIBLE. Sean yells at Eddie when he scratches the rug, but then I sneak over and rub Eddie and croon that he is a good boy and rub more cat nip into the rug. As such, we have been saving up for hardwood for our bed rooms, that will match the hardwood on our main floor. Maybe today we will be able to get some pricing for installation.
After the home show, we are going to head to our favourite frame it store and get our gift from Shauna & Doug framed. Shauna & Doug were in Hong Kong in the fall, where Doug had interviews with Cathay Pacific. They brought back an original water colour for us that needs to get stretched and framed.
Tomorrow we are hosting a congratulations dinner for Meghann's new-old job and for Shauna's new job. I love having friends over to our pad, it makes us keep our house clean!
Ok, I need another cup of Sean's elixir of life, and then it is time to go off and do our errands!
Hi-Ho!

PS: Quodlibet: congrats on your Captain ride!

Odds & Sods

Phew!
How the days have flown by! Since my last little post I have:

  1. Been woken up intermittently throughout the night as Sean struggled with the "ruby red rusheroos";
  2. Did a thorough pre-spring clean up of our pad;
  3. Had Sandra & Steve over for din-din;
  4. Did a snowshoe hike with Marns, where we almost reached our destination (the weather was starting to turn ugly). We had planned on doing the hike from Sawmill Creek to the beginning of the Chester Lake hike. Sean didn't join us because of the aforementioned ruby red rusheroos;
  5. Developed my own case of the ruby red rusheroos - the 2nd time this flu has hit me since December (thanks Sean), and
  6. Met with Jeff & Sean for some good ol' soup - so maybe I will get ruby red rusheroos for the 3rd time??

Pics from the snow shoeing adventure to follow, but back to work I go - hi-ho-hi-ho!
