This past Sunday we went and snow shoe'd what we think was the saw mill creek path.
(we = me, Marns (in the photo all darth vader'd up) and Sean)
Our group of snow shoers could have been bigger, but, alas, Reid & Skybar were hung over and Doug & Shauna *had* to watch the NFL play-offs. (Marns sacrificed the first game to go snow-shoeing with us).
Again, we had a great time. But, really, how can a day in the great outdoors not be a great time? It is much better than hanging out at home and being a couch potatoe!
I think the funniest part of our hike was when Marns decided to go running down the trail.
There is a really nice photo of me and Sean that I am going to print and send off to our respective Mom's. It shows us in our snow shoeing garb with the mountains behind us. I have the photo posted on our flickr site, if you are interested in checking it out.
The view of the mountains at one point during out hike was breath-taking, unfortunately the sky was a washed out grey colour, so the photos didn't turn out as good as they could have.
In other CG news . . .
. . .
well, um, there is no other news. I am over my drug addiction and so y'all can stop calling me Margot or Lindsay L.
Work is same/same. I have to say though, meetings really pick my butt. I always feel like you get more accomplished doing the job over talking about how the job should be done.
Oh!
Sean is being sent for SIM training in the spring to TX. He is going to book a few extra days off, so I will join him in the USA after his SIM training is done. A mini-holiday is always welcomed.
Speaking about mini-holidays - we are also going to "La Range, SK" in Feb with Marns & Lester. I am looking forward to a week of snow-mobiling and ice - fishing.
Then, in April/May, during spring - break up and after all of the stock exchange filings are done (which means I can take a break from work), Sean & I are doing our long awaited trip to the Smithsonian. Geeks that we are, we are giddy with the thought of spending a week at Smithsonian!
Of course, I can not forget to mention that my Aunt Riky and my Uncle Andre are coming from NL at the end of May/beginning of June for a visit. I am really excited about seeing them. We had a lot of fun together in October when I was in Holland. They will be in Calgary for a few days before they head out to the island to visit the remainder of the family. Sean & I will also travel to the island a few days after my aunt and uncle begin their trip west. That way we can spend time with the entire family out on the island. Good times lay ahead!
Ok, I need to get some yoghurt in ma belly.
Toodles!

A Cool Coffee Chick (& a X'n at that!)
If you have not been reading Coffee's blog, I suggest that you zoom over there. Coffee is a great gal. The one thing I love about her is that she is a real person. She speaks her mind and makes me laugh quite often.
Furthermore, she is a Christian and respects the fact that I am in a way a self-imposed X'n exile. Not once has Coffee judged me or "ran away and hid" because of who I am. She takes me for who I am.
In return, I accept her for who she is.
Read her blog today!!

Whoa! What a ride I have been on!
It all started with a doctor's appt on Monday. I am still suffering from Ruby Red Rusheroos and I saw my GP in regards to this. My good ol' doc thinks that it is just my usual irritable bowel syndrome acting up, but because of the numerous attacks and etc., I was put on some medication and have been booked for a follow up visit in Feb. (Ugh, I better be back to "normal" by then, or else I get the ol' colon cam visit - which will *not* be put on youtube!)
On Tuesday I began to develop adverse side effects to one of the medications that I was prescribed. If what I went through on Tuesday/Wednesday is comparable to a heroin/crack withdrawal - I feel for the people who go through that process.
So, I left work very suddenly on Tuesday (according to one of my co-workers who just came into my office to tease me) and went for a long walk to try and clear my head. (I never did end up back at the office) I visited my doctor, who took me off of the one medication that was causing the symptons. I then spent Tuesday night having a weird glass paranoia. I slept all day Wednesday and am back to work today.
According to our VP, with whom I left a cracked up message on Wednesday, I have a new nickname: just call me Margot Kidder.
Ugh.
In other news: I hate the LRT. Maybe it is still because I am going through drug withdrawals and I am very restless, but waiting at a station for 10 minutes so that EMS can clear up the daily "emergency" at the crack LRT station almost took me over the edge. Maybe until I am completely clear of this drug, I should just hang out at that LRT station with my brothers and sisters.
Ok, I gotta get back to work - somehow...
