Planning a Party
In just a few weeks, we will be in Hawaii with our good friends. We are going to Hawaii for our friend's wedding. As Tom & Meghann have been together for a long time and have been living together for well over a year, we have decided to throw them a marriage celebration party instead of buying them a gift.
So tonight our friend Tara (who is also my partner in crime and has helped me to "birth" a whole heap of dirty sayings) came over for din-din (and yes, dearest 'Dert - we did cook - or rather Sean did!!) and then we spent some time planning the party.
We are all really excited about the wedding and the party. Meghann and Tom are not inviting a shit load of people to their wedding and as such, we are honoured that they consider us close enough friends. Going to Hawaii will be great as well. Often times I will sacrifice my holidays for the "betterment of my career" and this is one time Sean put his foot down and more or less ordered me to take a holiday. The last real holiday I was on was in '02 when we went to the Oregon coast with 'tijn and the Helly Hansen Chick.
After we planned most of the party, we spent a lot of time talking about our upcoming trip. We have rented a 2 bedroom apartment for the duration of our holiday, and I think our pad is going to become a bit of the party place for us and our friends. Tara & I and the other gals are also organizing a bit of a "stagette" for Meghann, which will take place while the guys are out golfing.
I really want to go para-sailing, cycling and hiking while we are in Hawaii.
I haven't been this excited about a holiday in a LONG time.
Ok, I gotta get ready to watch Miami Ink.
